Torrent was just one of the pieces by Jeremy Hatch of Ricochet Studio that stood out during Radiant Dark’s Elegant Corruptions show (Hatch also had an installation at the Come Up to My Room show at the Gladstone Hotel). There is no back, front, up or down to this ceramic candelabra, but there is space for several candles: you just can’t light them all at once. Timid, a design duo made up of Sally McCubbin and Aaron Oussoren showed the Shot Glass, a bullet-embedded candle chimney, and Brad Turner had a set of drinking glasses on display. Each of the seven glasses reveals a different vice or sin on its bottom.
