Given that France is considered the home of fine wine it should come as no surprise that Wineside is the innovative brainchild of a French company. What sets one of these bottles apart from its more conventional predecessors is its size and shape; these vintage wines come ensconced in a screw-top glass container more akin to a test tube than a traditional wine bottle. As strange a prospect as this may sound, the benefits of taking a walk on the Wineside are numerous and diverse. Due to the compact nature of its packaging, the bottles are easily transported and budding wine experts find that the bottles, which range in size from 6cl to 10cl, offer the perfect basis for a tasting session. What Wineside gains in modernity and practicality is not lost in quality, however it its reduced dimensions. Only the finest grape makes it into the small bottles, whether it is part of the ‘Sweet’ or ‘Classic’ collection. A 4-6cl range of Cognacs, Armagnacs and Whisky is also available, as are box sets and individual cases, which make classy and original gifts.
